AUB Mastercard Scholarship Details

Applications for the AUB Mastercard Scholarship are officially open.

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program offers full scholarships in collaboration with the American University of Beirut (AUB). This program is designed to prepare young individuals to become change-makers in their communities, countries, and regions. Scholars will participate in workshops, courses, and fieldwork in addition to their degree programs.

 

Requirements for the AUB Mastercard Scholarship

To be eligible for the American University of Beirut Mastercard Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a citizen of a country in Africa.
• Maintain good academic standing in their previous degree.
• Possess talent that exceeds their financial means.
• Show commitment to giving back to their community, country, and region.
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
• Be committed to attending all additional learning experiences and workshops required by the Scholars Program.
• Be 35 years old or younger.
• Provide proof of readiness for university studies in English (RUSE) by June 20. Acceptable tests include TOEFL IBT, IELTS (Academic), GRE (Verbal), GMAT (Verbal), or the DUOLINGO English Test (DET).

The scholarship includes:

• Full coverage of tuition fees, accommodation, living expenses, a laptop, books, travel, visa, and medical insurance.
• Attendance at a series of workshops, courses, and fieldwork alongside degree courses.

How to Apply for the AUB Mastercard Scholarship (Step by Step)

Interested applicants can follow these steps to apply for the AUB Mastercard Scholarship:

1. Step 1: Complete the AUB online graduate application and upload all required documents by the deadline.

2. Step 2: Select the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program in the Financial Opportunities section of the online graduate application.

3. Step 3: Fill out the AUB Financial Aid Application, which will be available 1-3 working days after you submit your Graduate Admission Application.

You will receive an automated email from the financial aid office within 1-3 days, confirming your access to the financial aid application.

IMPORTANT NOTE: To ensure your application is complete, you must finish

(1) the AUB online graduate application,

(2) the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program survey, and

(3) submit your RUSE scores.
