Eligibility Requirements for the Hansen Leadership Institute Fellowship

To qualify for the Hansen Leadership Institute Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

For International Students

• Education: Must be an upper-division undergraduate (at least two years completed) or a graduate student.
• Age: Must be between 20 and 26 years old by July 1.
• English Proficiency: Must demonstrate proficiency through validation by an academic advisor.
• Leadership Experience: Must show leadership through community service or work with non-governmental organizations.
• Valid Passport and Visa: Must have a valid passport and be able to obtain a U.S. visa.
• First-Time U.S. Visitors Preferred: Preference will be given to applicants who have never visited the U.S.
