Qatar Airways University Scholarship Details

The Qatar Airways University Scholarship Programme is designed for Qatari nationals and children of Qatari mothers who are recent high school graduates. It supports them in enrolling in undergraduate programs both in Qatar and abroad. After completing their studies, recipients will join Qatar Airways through the Graduate Development Programme.

 

Eligibility Requirements for Qatar Airways Scholarship

To qualify for the Qatar Airways Scholarship applicants must:

• Be a Qatari citizen or the child of a Qatari mother.
• Have good conduct and reputation.
• Be in good health and successfully complete all necessary medical examinations.
• Be aged between 17 and 24 at the time of application.
• Have completed high school within the last three years.
  • Note: Students with Qatari mothers must have completed their education in Qatar.
• Meet the minimum high school score:
  • Qatari nationals: 85%
  • Qatari children of mothers: 90%
• Submit a High School Certificate not issued by the Qatar Ministry of Education along with an Equivalency Statement.
• Provide a recent IELTS score (within the last 24 months):
  • Qatari nationals: 5.5 overall, with no component below 5.0.
  • Qatari children of mothers: 6.0 overall, with no component below 5.0.
• Choose a major from Qatar Airways’ accepted list of study programs.
• Ensure the chosen university is accredited by the Qatar Ministry of Education and located in an acceptable country.
• If studying abroad, submit a Pre-approval Letter from the Qatar Ministry of Education.
• Provide a final unconditional acceptance letter from the accredited university.

All applicants must submit the following documents:

Personal Documents:

• Coloured copy of the student’s valid passport.
• Coloured copy of the student’s valid Qatar ID (both sides).
• Recent passport-sized photo.
• Coloured copy of the guarantor’s valid passport.
• Coloured copy of the guarantor’s valid Qatar ID (both sides).

Educational and Other Documents:

• High School Certificate or Equivalency Certificate from the Qatar Ministry of Education.
• A recent IELTS certificate, issued within the last 24 months.
• Unconditional acceptance letter from an accredited university.
• If studying abroad, a copy of the Pre-approval Letter from the Qatar Ministry of Education.
• For male Qatari applicants, evidence of completion or exemption from the Qatar National Service is required.
• Letter from the Qatar Ministry of Education confirming the student is not under their scholarship.
• Letter from the Qatar Ministry of Labour verifying the student’s non-employment.

Additional Documents for Qatari-Mother Applicants:

• Copy of the mother’s valid ID (both sides).
• Student’s birth certificate from the Qatar Ministry of Health.
• Certificate from the Qatar Ministry of Education confirming completion of all educational stages in Qatari schools.
